Summary

Two lovers discuss their psychiatrists. Oz is Tod's psychiatrist, Rhadamanthus is Pumpkin's. They interpret their daily lives in light of what their psychiatrists say. In fact, their psychiatrists tell them how they feel about each other.

Commentary

This tale describes how pervasive a psychotherapist's influence may become. In effect, Tod's and Pumpkin's lives appear to be nothing more than material for their weekly sessions with their psychiatrists. Is life simply what happens between psychiatric appointments?
