My academic work focuses on depictions of medicine, health, and disease in postcolonial literature. Current research interests concentrate on male exile and nostalgia in the fiction of St. Lucian novelist, Garth St. Omer. Existing, and forthcoming, reviews and articles appear in The Journal of Commonwealth Literature, Lit Med Magazine, Callaloo, SX Salon | Small Axe Project, and Transnational Literature.
